Myrtle Beach Training Camp - June 2014 - According to US Team assistant coach and four-time World Cup veteran Ignacio Medrano, "We've got some real talent on the pitch right now. The guys are excited about the chance to represent the US in the Amputee Soccer World Cup later this year.

"Even those trying out for the first time and giving everything they have. We have the makings of a very good team."

Medrano's comments were made as players from (literally) across the country met in Myrtle Beach, SC, June 13-15 trying to become part of the 2014 US National Amputee Soccer Team.

The prospects are working to secure a spot on the 12-member primary roster and for three reserve positions.

The next open tryout and practice session for 10 outfielder and two goalkeeper positions will be held August 8 & 9, at the Maryland SoccerPlex in Boyds, Maryland, near Washington DC.
